Delete your data

1. Delete in the app

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account, and confirm. This starts a 30-day grace period — if you log back in during that time, the deletion is cancelled.

2. Delete by email

Can't sign in? Email privacy@gardenriser.com with the subject "Delete my account" from the email address on your account. We'll confirm your identity and start the same 30-day process.

3. What gets deleted

• Your profile, posts, plant diary, gardens, marketplace listings, reviews, and uploaded photos.
• Messages you sent are removed from your view; the other participant's copy of the conversation is anonymised to show a removed account.

4. What we keep

Records we're legally required to keep — for example fraud, abuse or safety records, and financial/audit logs where the law requires it — are kept only as long as the law requires, then deleted.

5. Timeline

Deletion completes up to 30 days after the grace period ends, including removal from backups on their normal rotation schedule.
