Soil pH

A measure of how acidic or alkaline soil is, on a scale from 0 to 14, where 7 is neutral. Most garden plants grow best between 6.0 and 7.0. Citrus and roses prefer slightly acidic soil, and the wrong pH can lock up nutrients even when they are present.
